Meticuly neurosurgical innovation booth at Thailand Science Park during the Cabinet visit on 15 May 2026, featuring a 3D-printed Patient-Specific Implant for cranioplasty reconstruction.

On 15 May 2026, Meticuly had the distinct honour of presenting its latest medical innovations to the Deputy Prime Minister and the Cabinet during their official visit to the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA). Led by Assoc.Prof. Dr. Boonrat Lohwongwatana, Meticuly demonstrated how Thai-led research is elevating healthcare through a bespoke approach to surgery.

The Reconstructive Journey: From Craniectomy to Cranioplasty

At the heart of our exhibit was our Patient-Specific Implant technology. For patients who undergo a life-saving Craniectomy—a procedure where a portion of the skull is removed to relieve intracranial pressure from trauma or stroke—the subsequent reconstruction is critical. Traditional cranioplasty methods often rely on generic titanium meshes or hand-molded bone cement, which can lead to contour asymmetries and prolonged surgical times.

  • True Anatomical Restoration: The 3D-printed structure perfectly mirrors the patient's unique cranial symmetry.

  • Enhanced Operative Speed: Eliminating the need for intraoperative plate bending reduces time under anesthesia.

  • Optimised Patient Safety: Precision-engineered fit minimises post-operative complications and implant exposure.

A Collaborative Triumph for Thai Healthcare

As a homegrown medical technology leader, Meticuly’s rapid growth from a university spin-off to an internationally cleared enterprise has been accelerated by a robust ecosystem of state and academic support. Our presence before the Cabinet serves as a testament to the "Power of Integration" between private enterprise and esteemed public institutions.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our core partners who make these milestones possible:

  • Academic Excellence: Chulalongkorn University and Mahidol University.

  • Governmental & Research Support: NSTDA, PMU-B, NIA, and TILSNA.

  • Public Health & Policy: The National Health Security Office (NHSO / สปสช.), the Health Systems Research Institute (HSRI / สวรส.), and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI).

Moving From Policy to Action

By aligning national innovation policies with real-world clinical action, Meticuly remains deeply committed to developing world-class medical solutions that enhance the quality of life for all citizens. Through the continued trust of the Thai government and institutions like the NHSO, we will ensure that Thailand remains a global hub for medical technology and sustainable, personalised healthcare.
