When healthcare innovation aligns with clinical dedication, new possibilities emerge for complex patient care. On 29 October 2026, healthcare leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and investors gathered at Thailand HealthTech Next: Driving Health Innovation to Thailand's New Economy, an initiative organised by TISCO Bank at @Work Dusit Central Park (6th Floor). The event gathered policymakers, clinical specialists, researchers, technology developers, and healthcare investors to discuss the translation of medical technology into sustainable healthcare solutions.

The proceedings were moderated by Mr Rawit Hanutsaha, Chief Executive Officer of Srichand and founder of Mission to the Moon.

Policy and Strategic Frameworks for Deep-Tech Translation

The conference commenced with an opening keynote address, "Powering Thailand’s Healthtech: Driving Thai Medical Innovation to Global Markets", delivered by Prof Dr Yodchanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI).

The address examined strategic mechanisms for commercialising university-backed scientific research into validated clinical applications. Prof Dr Yodchanan highlighted Thailand's established clinical infrastructure, state-supported platforms for deep-tech research, and the necessity of proactive regulatory pathways that allow domestic medical technologies, from digital health algorithms to medical-grade additive manufacturing, to achieve international accreditation and compete in global healthcare supply chains.

The Makers of Thailand's Health Future: Data, Diagnostics, and MedTech

The core forum was divided into two distinct panels addressing both algorithmic software solutions and advanced biomedical hardware:

1. Digital AI to Care: From Health Data to Enhanced Clinical Support

Focusing on clinical data integration, algorithmic diagnostic models, and digital rehabilitation, this session featured:

  • Assoc Prof Dr Solaphat Hemrunrojn, Associate Dean for Integrative Innovation and Digital Technology, Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University.

  • Ms Suchaya Chaosuphorn, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Perceptra.

  • Dr Noraphat Suwatcharanon, Specialist in Cardiology and Sports Medicine, Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital.

  • Mr Thanakrit Saingern, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Mr.Rehab.

The panellists discussed how artificial intelligence assists screening workflows in radiology, the role of structured electronic health records in early interventions, and remote platforms facilitating patient rehabilitation outside hospital walls.

2. Medtech to Life: Engineering, 3D Printing, and Patient-Specific Implants

The subsequent panel evaluated hardware translation, industrial design, and direct clinical manufacturing:

  • Mr Chalermpon Punnotok, Founder of CT Asia Robotics (developer of the Dinsaw assistive care robot).

  • Assoc Prof Dr Boonrat Lohwongwatana, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Meticuly Co., Ltd. (developer of titanium Patient-Specific Implant systems).

  • Mr Tanakrit Saiphan, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of Tech Care System (developer of intelligent therapeutic cooling devices).

During this session, panellists examined how advanced engineering resolves intricate anatomical and physiological challenges. Assoc Prof Dr Boonrat detailed how medical-grade 3D printing and Virtual Surgical Planning (VSP) have fundamentally transformed complex reconstructions. By moving away from generic, off-the-shelf plates toward a bespoke Patient-Specific Implant workflow, surgeons can eliminate manual intraoperative plate bending, restore native skeletal symmetry, and significantly reduce operating theatre time.

Investment Perspectives in Healthcare Deep-Tech

The final panel, "Investing in HealthTech: Evaluating Opportunities in Future Healthcare Industries", addressed commercial scaling and venture capital dynamics:

  • Mr Krating (Ruangroj) Poonpol, Chairman of Disrupt Health Impact Fund.

  • Mr Supongvorn Mianphoka, Chief Investment Officer, TISCO Asset Management.

The speakers reviewed global funding trends across health technology, highlighting the specific diligence criteria applied by institutional investors. Both speakers emphasised that deep-tech sectors require patient capital horizons to accommodate thorough clinical trials, multi-jurisdiction regulatory approvals, and post-market clinical follow-ups.

Meticuly expresses its sincere appreciation to TISCO Bank, Prof Dr Yodchanan Wongsawat, and all participating panellists and delegates for fostering this vital industry dialogue. Sustained cross-sector collaboration remains the cornerstone of translating research into accessible, patient-matched medical solutions worldwide.
