The Meticuly team, led by our US Head of Sales, has returned from an inspiring week in Los Angeles, having attended the landmark 75th Annual Meeting of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) from October 11-15. This cornerstone event for the global neurosurgical community provided a vital platform for connection, learning, and sharing the latest advancements in patient care.

The Evolving Standard of Care in Cranioplasty

Throughout the sessions and discussions, a clear theme emerged: the shift from intraoperative improvisation to pre-operative precision. Surgeons are increasingly seeking solutions that offer greater predictability and reduce complexity in the operating theatre.

This is where the Patient-Specific Implant is fundamentally changing the approach to cranioplasty. We had insightful conversations with leading surgeons about the limitations of traditional methods, such as manually shaping mesh, and the clear advantages of a digitally-driven workflow. By leveraging a patient's own CT data to design and 3D print a bespoke implant, surgeons can now enter the theatre with a solution that is guaranteed to fit perfectly, every time.

Strengthening Our Commitment to the US Market

Leading our engagement at the CNS meeting was our US Head of Sales, Brian Gmelin. Their presence underscores Meticuly's deep commitment to the American neurosurgical community. The primary goal was not just to showcase our technology, but to listen and learn—understanding the unique challenges and needs of US-based surgeons and hospital systems to ensure our solutions are perfectly aligned with their practice.

Looking Ahead: A Partnership in Innovation

We left the CNS Annual Meeting inspired by the dedication of the neurosurgical community. The forward-looking conversations at this historic 75th gathering have reinforced our commitment to being a true partner in this field, providing the innovative tools that help surgeons achieve the best possible outcomes for their patients.
